[Comfort Zone]은 프로듀서 SDK의 첫 번째 솔로 EP이다. airy textile의 EP [Narrativity EP] 발매 후, 4년만의 작업물이다. [Comfort Zone]에는 그간의 경험과 애정이 파편처럼 박혀있다. 파편들 사이에 다양성의 미덕이 보인다. 앨범은 목가적인 피아노와 휘파람으로 시작하다 돌연 방향을 튼다. 밀도 높은 긴장감을 느낄 수 있는 ‘Sisehtyns MF Modnar’는 무작위성을 토대로 만들어졌다. 처음부터 끝까지 단 한번도 같은 소리가 나지 않게 제작된 알고리즘을 기반으로 새로운 형식을 시도했다. 앨범은 이후 앰비언트와 퓨처 정글을 거쳐, 로파이의 따스한 질감으로 마무리된다. 트랙마다 간극이 깊음에도 이질감은 드문 것은, SDK가 겪은 체험과 애정이 곧 앨범의 통일성을 만들었기 때문이다. 꾸준히 했던 음악에 대한 실험들과 대가에 대한 존경의 결과물이다. 4번 트랙에는 꾸준히 교류하고 있는 캐나다의 한인 프로듀서 ‘Korea Town Acid’가 피처링 했으며, 리믹스는 airy textile의 동료 ‘eeajik’과 전자음악 그룹 ‘Salamanda’가 참여했다. 자신에게 영향을 준 모든 대상에 대한 답가를 [Comfort Zone]에 담았으니 자유롭게 해석해 보길 바란다.

[Comfort Zone] is the first Solo EP of SDK. This EP is his work after 4 years since airy textile's EP [Narrativity EP] was released. In [Comfort Zone], the experiences and affection of the past are embedded like fragments. Among the fragments is the virtue of diversity. The album starts with an idyllic piano and whistle, and then suddenly turns its way. “Sisehtyns MF Modnar,” which gives a dense sense of tension, was created based on randomness. He tried a new format based on an algorithm that was designed to never sound the same from start to end. The album then goes through the ambient and future jungle, and ends with the warm texture of Lo-Fi. Even though the gap is deep for each track, the feeling of heterogeneity is rare because the experience and affection he experienced made the album’s unity. It is the result of his continued experimentation with music and his respect for the masters. “Korea Town Acid”, a Korean-Canadian producer who is constantly interacting with SDK, featured on track 4, and two remarkable remix jobs have been done by airy textile's colleague “eeajik” and electronic music group “Salamanda”. SDK has contained hymns about all the objects that have influenced him in [Comfort Zone], so please interpret it freely.
